Stalker Anomaly Tan Omega 0.2.1 Beta (Easy install for Anomaly 1.5.0 addon version U4H8, *RC23/1.5.1 advanced compatibility patches below*)
----------------------------------------------------------
Probably incompatible with a lot of addons, includes a heavily modified "Absolute Nature Redux", plants now have a much more rounded base and trees have much darker bark, especially beautiful in Red Forest. Included is my user.ltx file since this will modify a lot of things that go with the mod, recommended you rebind from there and use at least similar graphics options. Included "Sleep Anywhere" since I've noticed respawns don't happen on a map unless you sleep, (which from what I read is a bug apparently?).
This addon includes:
- Absolutely no headbob
- Large base weapon damage increase, combined with x3 player damage modifier from in-game settings means nearer to realistic bullet damage
- Heavily reduced mutants, generally increased enemy stalkers with much better spread, new "rogue mutant stalker" enemies, added finer tuning to population settings (new game highly recommended)
- Includes "Absolute Nature Redux" with extra additions, most beautiful with grass set to somewhat larger values
- Reshade that hides a lot of the ancient engine issues, turns off bloated and redundant in-game settings, if you happen to have pathtracing shaders, there are settings for pathtracing included
- Grittier and scarred hand skin for player
- Corrected weapon position (Use Hud FOV 0.38 to reduce clipping bugs)
- Heavily reduced radiation and includes "Regeneration" mod, letting you focus more on newly intense gunfights and do well when starting new games
- Time of day changed to 1:1 real time, while setting default weather to generally be a beautiful daytime setting, intense storms are rarer and more meaningful, populations are also rarer at default setting, although they spawn much more often, making encounters more startling and decreasing stutters while keeping the map generally populated
- Tweaks to reduce AI visibility and accuracy through grass and bushes
- Alife anti-stutter tweaks, as well as default user.ltx file that reduce stutters
- Generally lots of stutter reducing settings that don't strain CPU by default ("New Game" will have most benefit but shouldn't matter much, check out Reddit.com for a list of included stutter fixes)
- Includes bug fix for quest givers not talking to you
- Removes PDA beep sound, reduced geiger sound, added weapon aim sounds
- Subtle HUD, only shows fire mode, magazine size and damage types that aren't shown in regular inventory
- Sleep Anywhere with reduced hunger/thirst from sleep, allowing more fire-fights without zoning and travelling, also allows a makeshift unsafe and slow savepoint for campfire mode (should be permanent as well)
Installation:
- (~*WARNING: includes custom options in "gamedata/configs/axr_options.ltx!"*~) Extract to main game folder "gamedata" folder, "bin" if you want the reshade, back up your "gamedata/configs/axr_options.ltx" if you want to keep your old Anamoly specific options
- (~*WARNING: includes custom keybinds in "appdata/user.ltx"!*~) If you want to overwrite your "user.ltx" settings for recommended settings including some stutter fixes, then also extract "appdata" to main game folder, back up your "appdata/user.ltx" if you want to keep your old keybinds and settings for reference, you can omit this step if you're confident with your settings not conflicting with the reshade or if you don't use the reshade
The pacing has only been tested with 0.5 and under population factor for mutant and stalkers. This is the recommended max value. It is also recommended to use "campfire mode" saving when starting a new game with this mod.
Recommended settings for individual playthrough:
Gameplay -> Gameplay .diff ->
Player's protection = Great (You will still die in only a few hits)
Bullet hit power factor = 1 - 2

Patreon only things in a stalker mod... Nice..
it works fine without it, it just has the settings if you do happen to have it
EDIT: aaaand he rage-rated it 1/10 without even trying it... keep in mind there is nothing wrong with the mod and the pathtracing (which is NOT MINE and has to be omitted due to copyright, I was merely stating that I made values that should work well, which can be difficult due to the grass models alpha layers being inefficient) is a VERY small part of the mod
I would change the phrasing to something like "if you happen to have and/or use McFly's raytracing shaders, the config I made can manage them out-of-the-box with already set custom values"
Less people will be getting tricked into thinking strange conspiracy theories
Nah, gonna have to agree with Damocles, hiding anything at all behind patreon is not a thing the modding community needs.
If I were a modder, I'd be a lot happier if I got compensated for the grueling work I put into my mods.
it's a highly popular reshade shader I assumed everyone knows of... I can't wait until it's actually released so I can just include it with half the stuff I make, it's like I'm advertising for Coca-cola or something, in my head I don't even think about it... anyway, all names will be removed with next patch coming soon(TM), adding some AI tweaks
What files in your pack should I take to install Absolute Nature Redux only, without any changes you made?
you can get that here: Moddb.com
although if you like the textures without the gameplay stuff just copy "gamedata/levels" and "gamedata/textures" into "gamedata"
Thanks!
is there a video with a showcase?
I feel like if I made one myself a lot of the details would be lost due to bitrate with my PC... I might look into it more though once I work out some more issues with it, as it's still in beta ATM.
- Alife anti-stutter tweaks => Switch_distance = 2000m......yes.....
it also has updates set to 1 and 1:1 real time of day, meaning weather and time take less CPU, spawn times are adjusted accordingly so things still feel populated
Can we get just the reshade on this?
Dropbox.com Reshade.zip?dl=0
A big thanks!
"ui_options.script" crashes my game whenever i click on settings. ive removed the file in MO2 seems to fix it.
are you using other mods? the only thing I modify in that file is the fine tuning of mutant/stalker populations so its not a big deal to skip it
IDK the compatibility with mod organizer unless you really know what you're doing
I just hotfixed some stuff and changed the ui_options.script defaults which might possibly fix it
why change the controls? you really screwed it up good there buddy
sorry but there was a giant warning, I cleared up the wording so it's more obvious
Привет, а ты можешь отдельно выложить фикс спавна мутантов и сталкеров и ai поведения ?
using a translator to answer you, but "*\gamedata\configs\scripts" is where respawn is handled, although it might not function correct without the "*\configs\alife.ltx"
I added alife.ltx, but with it for some reason the bleeding heals very slowly. Is this how it should be?
it probably heals slow due to time of day, there's also a regeneration mod included that counters that... its hard to slice the mod up like that, "*\gamedata\configs\creatures\actor.ltx" is where regeneration is changed, it also changes radiation along with it, bleeds still last very long but often the regeneration outweighs it

stack trace:
Crash, the game doesn't even have time to start
I run it through the MO2 mod manager.
I turned off all unnecessary mods in order to avoid conflicts, but the problem remained
someone else had problems with MO2, it's not officially supported, try to delete "*\gamedata\scripts\ui_options" and it might work, although you lose the fine tuning of stalker/mutant population its not essential
Absolute Nature is actually already included in Anomaly, although somewhat modified. Anomaly once started as a modpack, and even there is utilitzed AN and a bunch of other mods. So basically there's no need to install the entire mod on top of it. But instead one could use the included assets to modify it.
But, I'm not sure if Anomaly includes the redux version.
Anyways, nice work :)
In the folder \textures\lfo\lfo_details there is one directory called "Neuer Ordner", including several decals textures for leaves, etc. Is that intended? :D
Sollte der eigentlich anders heißen? :)
Edit: Lol, that folder is alsdo included in the vanilla db files :D
