Spec-sheet

Our project is a Single-Player 2D game, its genre will be puzzle and Horror, with a Top-Down camera type with a Dynamic movement and a few shots that its movement will be Static. It will have some puzzle elements like collectable items, interact with crates or objects and some levers or buttons.

The game takes place in a rural area of Oak Hill in Alabama in the 20th century, in the fall of 1993. We will use a Cartoonish Art Style to demonstrate that even generally cute art styles can also make the player uncomfortable.

We aim to tell the story of a little boy and his mother who have just moved into a new home in a small village in Oak Hill in Alabama. One day, at dusk, a storm suddenly appears, so they quickly get ready for bed. During that night, the child wakes up to hear a scream, then, he crosses the corridor to his mother’s room but doesn’t find her. Here starts the player’s experience of finding his mother through a huge, dark house.
