The scientist nicknamed Assistant embarks on a journey into the Zone with the task of studying an artifact known as the Dreamcatcher. Joining Professor Zadorov's expedition, he is unaware of what awaits him in this forbidden region. Initially starting his journey as a researcher, over time he transforms from a scientist into a deadly weapon.
The authors of the mod provided for a meeting with mysticism, unimaginable phenomena and something mysterious, creating the impression that the Zone is full of secrets. You can also meet characters from previous mods of the team.
Although the mod focuses on the story of an artifact, you should not neglect the side missions, as they reveal the essence of what is happening in the Zone, starting from the time of stalker Kramer. The mod also introduces new mutants and locations, a total of 13 of them.
Installation:
1. Download the Dreamcatcher mod and extract it;

2. Download the translation;
3. Extract the "Dreamcatcher Translation.7z" archive;
4. Copy the "gamedata" folder to the mod's directory (for example, "D:\Games\dream-catcher-22-11\gamedata"). It should not prompt you to overwrite anything.
5. Launch the "DC Mod.exe" as usual;
6. Enjoy!

Really great mod. One of the best I played so far.
Incredibly gorgeous visuals though a bit too reshade-y but impressive nonetheless. Definitely top notch presentation overall compared to most mods.
My biggest gripes with this mod stem from the new engine that overtime gets longer loading times if you don't restart the game often. That and the 1st main zone being far too populated making the center stutter very often and getting you killed if you come close. The last big one is the game crashing at Yantar or Limansk when you quicksave sometimes.
In terms of general gameplay it's decently balanced but pistols are crap with high degradation and low damage. Bullets shoot up a lot of smoke from hits and it's very hard to tell how much damage you're doing. Mutants are very silent so that leads to plenty of ****** deaths, even with exos. For some reason your amogus suit has way more degradation resistance than the heavy armors (non-exo).
I don't know why but I couldn't find the Heart of the Oasis where it should be, must've been a bug.
Story and the few new maps are pretty great. Unfortunately the creator couldn't restrain himself of breaking the 4th wall three times and the voice clips still aren't traslated like usual.
Overall I give it a 8.7/10 (highest so far). Highly recommend. Stability/Performance fixes could bump it up to 9.0.

The artifact Heart of the Oasis is very close from where the map marker is ; look around all the anomaly (it's not on the ground but hanging on a branch)

One of my favourite mods by far. I've played a few of VIVIENT's mods and all of them so far have been a real ball.
This takes place after Incubator. Incubator left me with some question marks that felt like plot holes. I didn't have the same feeling with Dreamcatcher.
I really love mods that focus on the supernatural and bizzare of the Zone. VIVIENT did an excellent job at this through both visuals and quests.
They managed to make the same tasks each mod makes you go through a lot more flavourful. I didn't have the feeling I was simply spamming dull chores, constantly running from point A to B. I was curious to hear what characters had to say or what would unfold next.
The mod had a dreamlike aesthetic to it that went well with the story and world.
The voice acting was well done just as in their other mods.
I personallity hate dream sequences where you have to fight or solve puzzles. I didn't mind the fighting here but wasn't a fan of the labyrinth.
They pulled some assests from other games that fit right in the Zone, such as anomalies from Into the Radius.
It mostly ran smooth for me except for Dead City. It always began stuttering for a bit when approaching the middle of the map due to mutants reguarly respawning.
This is definitely a mod any fan should try.
