Mini Helios Mod for CS mini repack
This addon provides a compact version of the Helios (Spawn Menu) Mod v1.3 specifically designed for this mini repack.
Key Features:
- Spawn a variety of vanilla NPCs, mutants, weapons, ammo, and more.
- Test and adjust gameplay elements like AI behavior and damage properties using spawned entities according to your preferences.
- Make all vanilla factions and mutants neutral towards the player by editing the game_relations.ltx file (instructions included).
Reduced Scope for Stability:
- This mini-mod excludes cut mutants to prevent potential crashes and streamline functionality.
- The smaller size also simplifies maintenance and adaptation for the mini-repack.
Compatibility:
- Works seamlessly with both the non-development and development versions of the Mini Repack (unless future updates specify otherwise).
- Compatible with existing saves.
Usage:
- In-game (main menu), press F2 to open the spawn menu (same as the original Helios Mod).
Making Factions and Mutants Neutral:
1. Locate the gamedata\configs\creatures\game_relations.ltx file.
2. Find the sections:
- [communities_relations] for factions.
- [monster_relations] for mutants.
3. In the first value column of each section, change all values from their negative numbers (e.g., -5000 for factions, -2 for mutants) to 0. This neutralizes their hostility towards the player.
3.1. If you're playing in the early game section (e.g., Great Swamps) and are still affiliated with the Clear Sky faction. Locate the "actor_csky" column within the file and adjust the corresponding values to 0 (as described in point 3). This will neutralize the hostility of other factions towards you in the initial stage of the game.
4. Save the changes and load your game.
Additional Notes:
- Create a backup of your gamedata folder and savegames for safekeeping.
- While thoroughly tested, a rare crash might occur due to spawning a cut mutant. Please report such instances, including the content after the "FATAL ERROR" line in your xray_*.log file (located in your game configuration directory).
Example Crash Report:
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : fatal error
[error]Function : CInifile::r_section
[error]File : E:\priquel\sources\engine\xrCore\Xr_ini.cpp
[error]Line : 443
[error]Description : <no expression>
[error]Arguments : Can't open section 'chimera_weak'
Known Bugs or Issues:
- NPC Dialogue with Enemy Factions: Attempting to converse with wounded NPCs who are normally hostile (e.g., Monolith or Ukrainian soldiers) might lead to crashes. This is likely due to missing dialogue options for these specific interactions.
