About

Emergent Game Technologies is a leading source for all the game development tools required to build, test, manage and expand interactive games.

Emergent's History

Emergent was founded in 2000 with a mission of developing tools and technologies for interactive entertainment. In August of 2005, Emergent merged with NDL, the company that created the Gamebryo game development engine and tools.

Gamebryo enjoys widespread adoption among game developers and is the engine game designers trust. Gamebryo has been integral to the creation of instant classics such as Sid Meier's Pirates!, Civilization IV, the Dark Age of Camelot series, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Gamebryo is designed for use with every major interactive game platform, from its roots in PC games to next-generation platforms such as PLAYSTATION®3 and Xbox 360, and most recently, the increasingly popular Wii.

Emergent's Passion: Helping You Build Great Games

Emergent Game Technologies has one goal: innovation in game development. We provide game developers with all the tools they need to make games that break new ground in every field: graphics, content, player experience, genre and technology. Emergent develops flexible technology that supports the needs of game designers, artists and programmers, and integrates easily with other tools and applications in today's game development pipelines.

Emergent's Backers: The Best Working with the Best

Emergent is a privately-held, venture-backed company. Some of Emegent's investors include well-known organizations such as Worldview, Jerusalem Venture Partners and Cisco Ventures.
