Over the last few years, it seemed like more and more was getting in between us and the enjoyment we got from developing those games. There was a lot of cynicism, resignation, audible sighs, and shaking of heads. We fantasized about applying all the cool stuff we had learned over the years to make a game purely in and of it's own purpose. Created not because someone would pay us to, not because it was a hot property, but created just because we wanted to create it. After all, that's what got us so excited to figure out how to make them in the first place.
So we decided to do just that. We said goodbye to our day jobs, checked our bank balances, plopped a desk in our apartments and got to work. So far Zero Gear has been the most rewarding, nerve racking, and challenging endeavor we have ever taken on. But most importantly, we are having fun making games again. We hope you will be part of the ride!
David is a calm and gentle soul, who spends most of his time taking ordinary objects and squishing them into cute and shiny shapes. At any other moment he is generally doing whatever else that needs to be done. David has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. David won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game UNO.
Brian is a raging inferno of design patterns and logic. He spends most of his time cobbling together bits of code and penning haiku poems in Lua. Brian was born with a USB cable attached to enable him to stay charged during extended amounts of time at the computer. Over time this link has evolved into a 2 way data connection which enables Brian to program simply by sitting in the lotus position in front of the computer with only the whites of his eyes showing.

I'm glad I came across this page. It's humurous. Plus I'm going to watch it for when you announce your next game so I'm in there first.
