Is there a source port for Quake 2 to support some modern model format supporting skeletal animation? |

You could do it easily in blender or maya, but it may not be worth it. MD2 models are keyframe based, not skeletal as you're probably aware, so you would need a tool to bake the keyframes out of the bones and then export then in your 3D DCC tool (I think blender has an extension for exporting MD2). However, even if you get this right you still have to respect the puny MD2 limitations like: only 512 frames or 32 skins. |
