Star Trek: Bridge Commander II is a continuation of the original 2002 game.
It will be focused on the Borg and their invasion of Savoy III, which had lots of Federation ships over at that sector, and when destroyed, it was later determined that Saffi Larsen was on one of those ships.
You and your old crew from the previous game must bring back the Sovereign from a Federation outpost to investigate what really happened at Savoy III.
Hello everyone! It's been a month since we made our official announcement of the upcoming "Bridge Commander" sequel, and we wanted to give out some updates in regards to progress being made.
So far, the pre-production stages is very slow. It is taking lots of time, but we will get there eventually! Also, once we are done with everything relating to pre-production, we will move forward with the casting process and continue our work on the game.
It is going to take around 7-10 months or even a year to get all of this done, and will happily display a teaser trailer of the upcoming game once completed.
Thank you all for your continued patience! LLAP.

It is great to see you are working on Bridge Commander 2. I am wondering why you chose the source engine though. Why not use Unity or Unreal Engine?
Most likely because it's accessibility and modularity.
Or CryEngine
I wish you well and hope that you won't get shut down like Stage 9!
My god, this would be amazing. Is this a licensed product? I'd hate for the legal hammer to come down. Please contact me so we can talk further about your project!

If this turns into a thing I will legitimately cry. Bridge Commander gave me so many good memories as a kid, and it makes me sad that it doesn't work on modern systems. I literally tried installing it on my new(ish) PC the other day and the processer/GPU was somehow too fast for it. Like the camera moved in 60fps but the game itself only ran in 15-20fps, making it basically unplayable. If this is real, it would basically be the game of destiny. One thing you should keep in mind is that it has to essentially serve as a blank slate for modders, that's what made original BC so great. Also: Paramount and/or Activision may not be down with you using the original characters from the first game because they're extremely anal about IP law. You may want to tweak your proposed story in that regard. Otherwise, I literally pray (you have no idea how long I've wanted this) for your success.

A few years of neglecting to check updates and I come back to this.
Totally awesome.
I think I have stumbled upon something fantastic! Definitely going to follow this project!
