Introduction-
Assassins Mod is a realism, 3rd person, stealth shooter. You take the role of a skilled assassin who is on the hunt for others just like yourself. The game features civilian AI who are there to help you blend in. You look, and act just like the civilians, which will help you deceive your enemies. You carry concealed weapons, and the knowledge that your enemies are doing the same. The areas selected for the game are real world city environments.
Fluent controls that will allow you to interact with the environment just like the civilians. This could be waving to a random person, leaning against a wall or even sitting down on a bench. You'll be able to pick from any one of these people you see. The same models, and animations cycled through the civilians, will be at the player's disposal.
Tense stealth action-- a tag line for the game play. We've been balancing not only play styles, but actual weapon choices that will hopefully not give too much of an advantage to any particular weapon. It becomes just a role of the dice, whoever is more skilled, or knows their way around the surroundings.
Beginning-
Upon joining a game, you have the option of buying from the list of weapons and items. You begin with a fixed amount of money proportioned to the more expensive items. If you fall below this fixed amount, at the beginning of a new round, you'll be alloted an amount of money to compensate. This will ensure no one can go flat broke, and no one will be able to keep dieing in order to gain more and more money.
After dieing, a timer will count down till when you can spawn again. It's at this time you can comfortably look through the weapons and items menu to see exactly what you want. If the timer runs out, it will remain at "0" and let you keep looking. When your ready, click respawn to join back in. The timer ensures no one will be able to instant respawn, and keeps a pace to the game.
You will be rewarded money for each kill, and penalized for killing civilians.
The idea is great, and very demanding. However, as current situation progress, the mod can not be realistically completed with my time and management. The team grew few in number, and became distant. I think everyone who worked on the project did an AMAZING job and it defiantly show your work has not gone unnoticed.
Personally, I have no job, and in the beginning, all my time was Assassins. That wasn't the conditions of the rest of the team. But this late in to the process, I've needed to begin looking for work, and that has taken a lot of time away from the project.
I know I, and we, said that the project would never die. I don't want to think it has. There is still potential, it's a great and sound game idea. If anyone would like to contact me about the project for whatever reason, feel free to.
However, other than that, the project is going inactive. I thank everyone for the support, it's been great. Everyone have a fantastic day!!
