Have you ever noticed that when most people play a racing game with realistic physics they seem to enjoy it a lot more? Well, if you're one of those people who thought that the physics in MC2 could have been better optimized for keyboards, then this is the mod for you.
It wasn't just the physics that made me mod this game for realism, but there was another thing had to be fixed. Of course, the performance of the cars engine, weight, drag, etc. I always thought it was obviously wrong that a Nissan Skyline could outperform a Dodge Viper GTS/R. Doesn't that seem silly. But you don't have to worry about that anymore, because this game is getting a whole new makeover.
Just about everything you knew about the old cars of the game is about to change...
Here's a list of what my mod will change:
1. Handling- the cars tires turn slowly into the direction of travel
2. Top speed- one of the main aspects of this mod is to make cars have realistic top speeds
3. Weight- cars feel more like cars
4. Acceleration- no more 50+mph speed bonuses with burnouts
5. Nitrous- tuned street cars have nitrous oxide
6. Bikes- bikes go as fast as they should, and handle as they should
7. Grip- cars grip nicely due to the new handling, but don't turn sharply going 150+mph
So, that's a very simple way of showing all of the changes. But I'm sure that if you try this mod, you will love it. Also, don't expect one version of the mod to come out, because it takes a lot of time to perfectly fine tune this game to realism, because of it's physics engine. One major problem are burnouts with out holding the e-brake. So far I haven't been able to make cars burnout without using the e-brake. MC2 doesn't have a very good physic engine for natural burnouts, your car has to have a lot of HP for it to burn out, and a lot of weight.
Once I'm finished with this mod, I will release one of my Viper skins along with it, as well as a tutorial on how to install this mod along with the skin. Don't worry about install problems later on, though. I'll try to get an .exe installer in the later versions. Hope you like what you see.
