This is more a personnal fix as we installed another UI mod that required this mod in perticular.

Had major issue of the

" Vanilla UI Plus has detected an installation error. If you are using M02, simply drag this mod (not the plugin) under conflicting mods and make sure you have installed UIO!"

I used vortex so after a lot of trouble shooting.

How to fix it (probably a rough way but it works)

Remove the vanilla ui plus completely from vortex

And simply reinstall it and making sure it is loaded last.

As no matter what you do with the load order and other mods the file may be overwritten no matter what.

And if needed do the same with the mods that required Vanilla UI Plus.

No one talks about it but as ANY support I found online were saying "don't use vortex, use MO2"

But when you got a lot of mods already set up and used to vortex it helps having the support for it.

Thanks for the pointer, although I think I do cover that in the readme and the quick readme at the installer:

The installer should work with any FOMM-compatible manager.

CONFLICTING UI MODS MUST BE INSTALLED BEFORE VUI+ UNLESS THEY
RECOMMEND OTHERWISE. For example, the MCM must be installed
before VUI+ and it must be overwritten by VUI+.

Obviously, fixing a broken installation would require to do as you've said: uninstall VUI+ and re-install it according to the instruction above. However, if other mods ask you to specifically overwrite VUI+, in good faith we should do that.

My overwriting suggestion in the Readme is based on reasoning that would be too lengthy to include. It has to do with how old installers work and how mod managers deal with such old installers. If you have installed such old mods after VUI+ you may have to also uninstall and reinstall them to make sure your game will work if you remove VUI+. Again, this is explained in the Readme.

Me and my friend were trying to figure this out for multiple hours...

I think our struggle made my brain go to goo as I did read the readme file but don't recall those line.

So you did your job correctly. Just me and my friend who did a perfect "Stupid moment"

But I do appreciate you still keeping an eye on your mod and you do amazing work

Thank you may you have a wonderfull day

Well the major issues with Vortex isnt that it a bad Manager. Vortex litterally breaks the entire foundation of how Modlist works. The reason why people say dont use Vortex is that it dosent allow to manually sort mods. Instead of having a simle drag and drop order list it use some overcomplicated rule system. Not a single other mod manager does this bullshit. Before using Vortex you are even better by dont use any manager that how awful it is. You have a conflict due load order? Vortex makes it almost impossible to fix such things.

There is a tool i think on Skyrim Special Edition allowing to transfer a Modlist from Vortex to Mo2. I do really recommend to switch to any other Mod Manager to save simliar issues in future

I agree with you, I also don't like it, when it happens.
